Seeking His Will in Every Choice

“…because of the evil you have done in forsaking him(Deut. 28:20).”

The Bible does not view disobedience as a mere lapse in judgment. Today’s passage clearly defines it as the evil of “forsaking the Lord.” This single verse captures the vital importance of seeking God’s will in every situation of choice we face.

Ultimately, disobedience is the result of self-centeredness—pushing God out of His rightful place as Master and seating our own desires there instead. In the spaces where we fail to rely on Him and turn our backs, peace is replaced by confusion, and confidence by rebuke.

This morning, I deeply realize the value of acknowledging Him in all my ways. I remind myself once again that acting upon His Word is not merely a matter of following rules; it is the most honest confession of love, seating God as the sole object of my trust.
