“If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God(Deut. 28:58)”
Looking back at my journey, I see that a life of ‘fearing God’ has been the anchor holding my life steady. Whenever temptation arose or I stood at a crossroads, I moved forward by excluding anything that God would displease. Though I wasn’t perfect, that holy fear generally guided my steps.
There were times when I faced unfair issues and ridicule. The only reason I could endure in silence and prayer, rather than retaliating, was the single truth that God is alive and watching over me. I believed that God would dislike seeing me, His minister, respond in the same worldly manner.
Even now, at every critical moment, I first ask: “What would God do?” It would be utter foolishness to take a different path while the Lord, the owner of that glorious and awesome name, is watching me. It would be like a child covering their own eyes, foolishly thinking that God cannot see them. Today, I desire to live my life before the gaze of the Lord, following Him with a heart that truly reveres His name.
