“You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in obedience to him… that you will listen to him(Deut. 26:15)”
A life that acknowledges only the Lord as my God today.
Every morning, I declare that God alone is the Master of my life. Yet, as the day unfolds, I often lose sight of that truth. Amid the rush of tasks and responsibilities, I suddenly realize that I have taken the wheel of my life back into my own hands.
I long to stay connected to God every single second, but my repeated failures to do so bring a sense of guilt. “How can I live without forgetting Him for even a moment?” This has become the deepest question of my soul.
Ultimately, I confess that I cannot do this by my own strength. I finally understand the desperate plea of the Psalmist: “Direct me in the path of your commands… Turn my heart toward your statutes (Psalm 119:35-36).” It wasn’t a prayer of mere duty, but a cry from a heart that couldn’t bear to be apart from Him.
Today, I resolve once more. Let God be the Master of my day. Let me not lose sight of Him. Let me acknowledge Him in every breath.
“Lord, I lose my way on my own. Hold my heart and enable me to walk only within Your ways.”
